Damn,

I remember when I had my Zex kit right before the hole in my piston. Something obviously was set up wrong. Glad to see some success stories with N20!

the zex is a dry setup, it just creates a positive pressure in your fpr to put more fuel through. the ngk wires, no difference really, but they look pretty! (that's for you jesse ) the plugs ran me about $60 or so dollars for two ranges colder. i've had the zex in since the beginning of may, and been through three bottles so far. make sure you get a pressure gauge for your bottle, and check your plugs frequently to check for detonation (you don't want a hole in your piston, any of them ) if you're going to be running at the track, make sure you have a full bottle as bottle pressure is a key in power too. 700 or below psi, makes for a shitty run. also, if you're gonna be tracking it, you need a blow-down valve/tube. if nx or whoever makes one for their bottles, get it. i got away with just strapping a heater-type hose to the back side of the bottle and clamping it on to get through tech.

regarding to the plugs, you can easily indentify problems with detonation. Haynes book have several pictures of the plugs caused by different problems.

I have NOS 40 shot occasionally 60 shot. Its a 1.5L. I have MSD wires and timing retard (3 degrees) which engages during wot.

You can also gap the plugs. The OEM ones for my car are 0.040 to 0.042" I gapped them to 0.030".

I have NOT noticed any damage whatsoever and recentely I changed the sparkplugs to see whats going on. All 4 plugs were damn perfect. I have NGK plugs, ZEX plugs are great but too expensive. If you are going above 50% of the OEM HP, I would reccomend ZEX plugs otherwise just keep the OEM with smaller gap.

The nozzle is like 12 in away from the TB. It was 4"before. You want the gas very well mixed with the air coming into the TB.

My set up right now is 42"fuel, 32"n2o.

Just yesterday I kept it up with my friends RSX type S , of course , until the VTEC kicked in. Though he was very surprised with the amount of torque.

peace.

I have a friend who owns a RSX type S and we both work
on ours cars together. Really good friends. Since I
have installed the N2O he keeps asking me to race him.
But I kind of laugh because even with 40 shot my car
still have 92 stock HP and his 200...Whats the
point?!?!?!?

Well yesterday I 've decided to use the nitrous
several times because this hot weather makes me feel
nervous about having a "bomb"in the trunk. So we went
out for cruising and he pulls over me side by side
(3rd gear) below or close to 3000 rpm. I heard him
flooring the beast and I did it too. I was surprise to
see that I kept all the way with him, side by side ,
like we started. Thats the good point of having 40
horses coming sooner! As soon as the VTEC kicked in I
could see him moving forward.
As good friends we are, he admitted that I had a lot
of torque and saw me going away. The truth also
resides on the fact that he would have killed me , of
course, if we both started from 1 st gear. Also I
can't keep it up too long as soon as the VTEC engages.
Well, I was very happy to know that the little 1.5L
did its job nicely.

(Whazzup Protege dudes...yeah, Im the RSX dude. The
powerband on the RSX-S is crappy until 6k RPM. Though
out of my powerband, I was very surprised by how
Marcio's Protege kept up. As soon as I hit VTEC, it
was over, but it was cool to see how much the nitrous
kit imporves his low RPM power. Anyhow, here comes
the 40 shot for my RSX! Peace.)

Re: Zex Is Here!!

Can someone take some pictures of the wires where the zex cpu taps into? I wasn't able to find the throttle sensor on the p5. And which vacuum hoses are used?

Thanks,

Krotine
