turbo info
ok i have a 95 mazda protege lx with stereo mods only. (super cool $4500 just in materials. My friend and I instaled it so go figure on instalation costs)
What i would really like is to make my protege have some *****! the 1.8 does good but it just isnt hacking it and there are no bolt on turbos. (pretty sure everyone knows that by the time you find this place) Who, if anyone, will custom make a turbo for my protege? I thought I had found a site but I wasn't at home and couldn't remember the link. Anyways I heard a price of $3000-$5000 US for a custom turbo and that sounds pretty good. I don't know if that price would include custom rods and other internal engine mods that would be required from a turbo instal. You find turbo proteges online but they never say where they got them done! ah!
I'm going to get either 17' ADR Mclassic's or Racing Heart c3's and maybe a new paint job! Oh yeah and if anyone knows of some good looking side skirts I would like information about them, and a short shifter. I'll also get some kickin brakes....not sure by who yet but I want nice siver shiny ones under my new rims. Of course no one makes big brake kits for em cause they just arn't cool enough to tick out. (riiiiiight, screw them)
For interior mods.....I love the tan and brown colors and I would like to get 2 SPARCO MILANO .....and I would have to get the seat mounts custom made. Also a custom aluminum or stainless steel gauge bezel. No one I can find is selling or can get indigo gauges for gen 2 proteges.....anyone?

Well psudo..... my "lx" does have a 1.8 liter. (i just went out in the driveway and checked in the snow) I dunno if some retard put lx stickers on it or what but its got a 1.8.
So I dunno what is up with that if lx's arn't supposed to have them......beats me.
So I wasn't planning on an engine swap, even though I considered it. I could bore out the cylinders and upgrade all the internals for the turbo....then the turbo...piping....bla.......$$$$$
That wasn't a direct quote it was just something I heard on another message board. Any other prices or places that do that kind of custom work (close to ohio would be nice) would be super from anyone.
