on my NOS i replaced the WOT switch to manual button switch that I placed next to my shift ****. This way I can floor the car on the first geat all motor and then squeeze it at around 5k rpm then shift to 2nd all motor for split sec. then squeeze again & right when I shift to 3rd thats when I dont use all motor. I press that button right when I shift to 3rd.

i have a zex wet kit and i have it wired up at WOT. i plan on using a 55 shot, but i want to move up to a 65 shot to get a little more power out of it. hoperfully, everything will go as i want it to go and nothing will break. hopefully

I think a 65hp shot would be a little much. a 50hp shot would be just fine. If you do decide to up your jetting make sure to drop heat ranges on the plugs and make sure your fuel system is up to par.

if you start to hear any detonation let me know...I've got some pointers for you.

I know we don't have the same engine but just so you know, I have used 60 shots on my sohc vtec motor w/ everything stock and a 60 shots on my BP (1.8 Dohc). I didn't retard the timing on none of them. They are both running in stock spec. The civic I was using stock plugs but on the BP I had to use the NGK iridiums not because I have to but because I wanted too. (just to be on the safe side).

Just try to use 60 instead of 65 and use premium or 91-up fuel octane.
NGK iridiums are good or you can get the ZEX plugs since you have ZEX kit.
if ur squeezing 65 you might want to retard your timing to 2-3 deg.
and o yeah, by the time you hear that knocking (detonation) its probably gonna be too late. you'd probably put a hole on the piston or a window on the block before you hear that knock.

BTW I have an Air/Fuel gauge. This tells me if my car is runing lean when Im squeezing that button. So far its still reading on the rich side w/ my WOT and 60 shot NOS.

GOODLUCK!!!
