Thumbs up Nitrous Kit Installed!

Just got the bottle filled yesterday..And finished putting the finishing touches on the setup.

All i have is a pic of the bottle.

I have it shooting directly onto the Intercooler.

It's a custom setup...

Went out for a run..with the car warm..got into boost a couple of times..to get the car fully warmed..

Than i pulled over..shot onto the intercooler (a very small shot like 1 sec)..And went for a ride.

I really didn't got into boost in 1st..but as soon as i got into 2nd..it was crazy..i instantly hit boost..and it came on much stronger...i let off in 3rd..and was hitting 11psi.

I had no signs of detonation...Than again i am pulling like -17 degrees worthing of timing.

Can't wait to hit the track..I am hoping for high 13's low 14's. Just hope the clutch holds..

um...intercooler sprayers only cool the intercooler WHILE it's spraying....stopping the car, spraying it, and then getting back and driving it again is pointless. Why don't you wire a solenoid to fire it once it reaches peak boost? that would be more efficient and would keep you on the road more.

The plan is to shoot Right before i launch to improve throttle response coming off the line..aka limit amount of boost lag. Than When i get to 3rd gear..shoot again..

And i do have a solenoid...it's my hand..LOL

I would basically shoot while at the line to chill out the ic. The bottle is only good for 1 full run...Or A couple of 1 Sec Shots..

I think by leaving the nitrous shooting on the ic..would cause serious detonation issues..due to air being condeser..

basically leaning out the fuel mixture..

dude....that bottle wouldn't get my cat high. You should buy a 10lb bottle and wire it up to a boost activated solenoid and you'll last several weeks (depending on how you drive).

a 1-sec burst isn't going to do anything. Also shooting an IC sprayer for 1 sec before launching will not elliminate lag. That has to do with your turbo and manifold design. I know that it will create power but only under boost when intake temps are high....you could even go as far as to wire it up to your IAT sensor....just tap it into your intake right before the TB and set it to spray at a certain temp...

I wanted a 10lb bottle..but due to my lack of funds..and having to mount bottle again...in the trunk...

It's illegal to have a nitrous bottle connected...

That why i decided to just get a small bottle..for track/dyno use only.

About the whole lag issue..your right it won't eliminate it..but it will bring boost on sooner...It's like driving a turbo car at nite..the difference is definelty noticable.

who says it's illegal to have a nitrous bottle installed?? Mine has a DOT sticker on it saying it's perfectly legal as long as it's properly secured with clamps.

In NJ..it don't matter..as long as bottle is connected it's enough for them to take away my car
