actually after driving it a bit more, it's instilled some confidence in the new clutch....it's just smoother now, no slipping at all anymore unless i intentionally slip it

absolutely....I've seen guys helicoil an aluminum head to install a turbo manifold...if that can seal the exhaust AND hold the weight of a manifold and a turbo, I think this will hold....the other 2 studs are fully intact and the helicoil is in cast iron, which is stronger than aluminum....all it has to do is seal in the exhaust.
Plus I didnt even do it...the guys at the machine shop where my dad works did it for him, they said it was fine...I'll post a pic...

As far as progress goes...it's zero...I just have a pile of parts....cant even really get started without at least the manifold to start mocking up the charge piping

Roddimus Prime March-14th-2006 08:09 PM

I have a pile of parts myself......can't say what they are just yet...only that people will be very interested in them.

MX6 injectors received today !!!

Just need my Manifold and downpipe now !!!!

this waiting is killing me...talked to Juan again and he said the manifold and downpipe are otw to him now....I guess since he works with IHI turbos like 90% of the time it delayed things a bit

macdaddyslomo March-20th-2006 10:20 PM

STILL waiting om Juan....this is getting frustrating

macdaddyslomo April-3rd-2006 12:42 PM

that doesn't sound promising....what's going on mike?

macdaddyslomo April-3rd-2006 07:24 PM

Nothing bad...Just got sick and tired of driving a slow car,and waiting forever for Juan was the final straw....

I'm gonna sell off the turbo kit, along with some other protege parts.

My final car pmt on the protege is May 1st...I'm gonna sell the Protege, and combine it with the money from the turbo kit and other parts and buy me a Mustang GT....

I was thinking putting the cash on an 02 or 03, but I've seen 99-01's for around $7K-$9K, so I'm just gonna buy one cash money

not a bad idea. Sorry to hear it not go your way.
