Yeah a few do...It is not the absolute best kit for the gains/price ratio...but as far as build quality and support, I heard it is un-matched...

 

I am not looking for great gains, or else I would of bought some other car. I still want the good gas mileage, just need a little more power.

but i would check on the bell turbo.

 

I thought the Bell turbo was what ultimately became the FM Protege turbo...The project was started by Bell Engineering, or BEGI (This is what I can't remember so please correct it if it is wrong) and taken under FM's control before completion...

 

I think a stage 1 from spool is good for now. You can always ugrade to stage 2, 3, 4.

 

The Spool kit has to be the best out there right now...

A lot of RnD went into the kit and seems to be the best fabbed kit for the 2L Pros. The kits have been street/dyno tested now on the company's and consumers cars for about a year now.

They are working on a Stage 4 setup that basically is the previous stages with the addition of MicroTech's standalone unit that will allow 10psi+ at a $1500 pricetag

It all comes down to reliability and the FM and Spool are the best out there with cars that have ran 50k+ miles with no problems.

On the other hand there are some up and coming company/shops out there coming out with some impressive units at impressive prices, such as the Perfworks that uses a Super60 ball bearing as opposed to a Garrett T3. You also have HiBoost which looks to be a promising kit that comes with the more expensive IHI full ball bearing AND a Haltech F10 ECU for fuel management. Both companys releasing them in the next few weeks (?).

Yes, I do. What do you want to know? Check out my sig and you will see I accually have one of the prototype kits, but it is now a FP (Flyin' Protege is what they are called now) due to the fact that I have changed out many of the prototype parts for the FP parts.

 

how can you live with yourself, just to sit there, see a mistake, not even have any valid input on the subject and grammatically correct someone? run-on sentences, no capitals, double negatives and improper nowns (nouns) are the way we does things around here, so bugger off
