according to the link sandman posted, you use both. it's wash, polish, wax. i tried it on my ride thise weekend and OMIGOD. talk about a freakin' deep, wet shine! yeah, i've had nice shines b4, but i could actually tell the difference. i used the dri-wash n' guard to clean and polish my ride, then the meguiar's gold class wax. took a little while, but it was worth it!

Thanks for beating me to the punch! You're right - it's worth it, but a helluva lot of work - especially if you're like me and you don't have an electric buffer yet...

One of my clients owns a highend body shop so he waxes and polishes my car for me. (I help him with his theater.)He has this wax, no word of a lie is $5000 a tin (22oz.)!! It was designed by a chemist as a dialectric for high-tension wires. They also found it works great on cars. Incredible shine! Think its nuts though, I wouldnt pay for it!

oookay

*brings thread back from dead*
hehehe
today i went to pep boys and bought some wax
it was either meguiers gold series( $6 i think) or whatever
or this blue xymol stuff($13)
the xymol stuff cost a bit more so i got it
i remembered reading about it on here so i did

sooo this was my first time waxing a car
fairly quick... just used and applicator to put some on, and then buffed it off with a terry cloth cotton towel.
my car was already pretty shiny before, and i really couldn't see much more shine... after i compared it halfway through. the waxed parts felt a lot smoother though.

well
very interesting link.... http://www.nsxsc.com/nsexcitement/waxtest.html

i REALLY think you all should read through this page i found
anyone seen any other tests like this so we can compare the results?
very interesting eh? $12.95 per bottle beats 144 a bottle!
and the beloved meguiers does horribly. i think i'll be buying a bottle of this zaino stuff REAL soon.
