Dunno, None of my vinyl has ever come off unless purposely pulled off. Nor has it ever got cought in a wash mitt. It hasnt yellowed, peeled, bubbled, etc...... looks like it did when I put it on. All youll need to do is wash and wax it as you would the rest of your car.............Before install, wash your ride with dish soap to strip the wax off the paint. It will not blow off your car........Duncan

hmm... we have ruacop2 from somewhere in the US (judging by the military knowledge) who says it peels... and we also have Duncan from Dallas who says it doesn't.

Duncan, has your car ever been in an ice storm or a brutal winter?

I lived in Denver CO for 2 1/2 years. I guess it gets brutal there sometimes. It wont peel if its installed correctly and taken care of. Ive had my vinyl on for just under 3 years. It still looks great. 3M is a great company that puts out top of the line products. And I beleive urethane was around before the military decided to put it on their Helis. I also cut and install graphics, never a complaint. Ill post a pic of my ride and you can see the vinyl...........Duncan

Thanks
I had the 3M clear bra put on by http://stickercity.com/store/customer/home.php?cat=362
and I am very impressed by it. Of course it can be removed! I wonder where that person heard that it couldn't be removed... another strange rumor I guess. It's guaranteed for 5 years. The technician that installed it told me that it will start to yellow after that - at about 7 years you'll notice yellowing, and the plastic will slowly get more "hard" (less flexable). With the diminishing flexability comes diminishing protection (an object hitting the sticker has less of a cushion). But, it seems to me that even if the stuff is old and has hardened, it would still provide considerable protection (let's consider the fact that a lousy coat of wax is considered "protection", and this sticker is SO much more), and the technician said it would certainly be fine to leave on for 10 years or more if the yellowing isn't bothersome to the owner.

A guy with a 2005 mustang was having a piece replaced while I was there. He had a custom piece put on his rear bumper - someone hit the corner of his bumper (probably exiting a parallel parking space behind him) and it screwed up the 3M film, but the paint underneath was still perfect!

Go here http://www.automotivearticles.com/Clear_Bra_3M.shtml to check out how the clear bra handles getting shot at with an air pistol.

It's also worth noting that a regular bra should not be left on the car. Regular bra's will get wet, and when they do, you need to remove them so that they can dry out (or the back will begin to develop mold). Also, they need to be cleaned a lot - if there is dust behind it, it will rub the dust into your paint and scratch it. In short - lots to worry about!.

3M clear bra: no maintenance - no worries!
