You can just split the one remote wire near the amps into two.

OMG no! That's not at all what I mean by "splitting" the wire!

Okay - here's an example, assuming you know what butt connectors are:

Run a single remote wire from the HU back to the area where the amps are. Attach a butt connector to a stripped wire end by crimping it on the wire. Then, take TWO short sections of wire (one for each amp), strip the ends, and crimp BOTH wires in the other end of the connector. You now have a split remote wire, that can be used as a turn-on lead for two amps. A more "ghetto" way is just to forget the connector, and twist the wire ends together and tape over them or use shrink-tubing to cover the connection.

You can "split" the wire anywhere you like, but as close to the amps as reasonable is the best way.

I'm still not shure about which 2chanel amp to get for my components, here are the component's specs:
2-way System:
5.25-inch (130 mm) Woofer,
1-inch (25 mm) Aluminum Dome Tweeter
60W Continuous Power Handling
Rec. Amp Power: 25 - 125 Watts
89.5 dB Efficiency @ 1W/1m
FR: 53 Hz - 25 KHz ± 3 dB

My amp options are both PG Tantrums, the 300.2 that puts out 75w rms @ 4omh, and the 250.2 that puts out 60w rms @4ohm.

wich one should I get? what do they mean by rec. amp power, w rms?

rec. amp power = recommended amplifier power.
w rms, the w is watts and rms stands for root means square (think of rms like continuous power).

 

Both amps would do fine. They put out about more than 60W rms (which matches the speaker specs). I personally would go for the 300.2, so that in the future if you decide to upgrade the speakers, you'll have more flexibiity because of the extra power.

Don't worry about overpowering the speakers by a small margin, it can't do much harm to the speakers.
