As said, wire them to the parkinglights and a switch to override them, or to the turn signals. You could even through in a relay to trigger them.

- wire the 12v + to ignition (unless you really want them on at ANY time, then put it to a constant 12v+)
- ground the switch so it flips ground to the relay.
- Relay gets wired to 12v+ (ignition for key only use or constant for anytime use) and the switch, which in turn feeds the LEDs.

relay pins:
87 & 85 go to 12v+ (fused @ 10amps and you can also join the LED 12v+ wire with these) again either ignition for key only, or costant for anytime.
86 gets the (ground) wire from the switch
30 goes to the LED trigger wire.

if you wire them to the turn signals, eliminate the switch, but you'll need 2 relays, 1 per side. If you want them to do both, follow my sidemarker how-to.
