I have sold viper car alarms now for 11 years. They are excellent quality. I have one on my truck and one on my pro. The one on my truck has been on it for 10 years and the one on my pro has been installed since I bought it in 95. No problems whatsoever. Buy one. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I completely agree! I've sold and installed Viper's since 1995 and can most certainly say they are money well spent. Although any alarm is only as good as it's installation, keep that in mind.

Correct, DEI aquired Clifford and Avital awhile ago and re-tooled both lines to DEI standards, so to speak. The names, Clifford and Avital are still the same.

so i just installed a compustar 2wssr remote. i like it. yeah, i was a clifford/dei fan, but i needed something with all these cool features (2-way remote, auto start blah blah blah). i kept the clifford horn so now i got 2 under the hood.

plus, i added a couple of "surprises" to my security which will help to deter any would-be theif.

cool remote too:

f'real? the guys i usually go thru only pushed the matrix on me. it is a cool alarm and all, but if you've noticed my system, almost nothing is mainstream stuff, so naturally, i went with the compustar. i still like the dei/clifford tho...

It's pretty new, so they may not have known about it. BTW, Clifford dealers cannot be DEI dealers or vice cersa, so if they do Clifford, they don't get the DEI new product news, just Cliffords. But that may have changed...

the important thing is that your happy
