I´m going to replace it it with either a w6v2 or a w3v2 but I still consider it to be quality equipment.

Why are you guys getting all over JAC's *** about his setup?

He's got something that sounds good to him, and doesn't care about looks. All he's doing is trying to help out a fellow club member who doesn't want his sub box flying around the trunk - and the bungee cord idea is perfect.

Not everyone feels the need to be "proud" of the aesthetics of a setup. His is reasonably neat and clean, and strapping the box makes it secure and also removeable. What's the problem with that?

Leave the guy alone - he's done good work, and helped someone else out. What've YOU done to help Lazlo with his issue?

I built a false floor around the sub. I used 3/4 mdf and put little strips under the bottom to hold the floor up 3/4 of an inch (so the wood wound not pinch the wires).

If you need to move it just pull!

This what I wrote to help Lazlo out!

I have a pretty nice set up, but these days, that gets you no where. It's all about bells and whistles to get points in SQ set ups. That is why I never entered a competition in my life. I figured some other guy is going to have more money and win by paying somebody else to do his/her audio system with the installer's creativity. As long as it looks good and sounds great I am happy. I do want to add some things like accents throughout, but that will probably never happen. Priorities, priorities above all.

Well I have taken time to make mine look good and sound good. I used Dayton Audio 12 DVC. The sub only requires around .7cf.

the hole is a vent. There is another hole on the side for the fan to draw air through. It keeps the amp cooler. Just for piece of mind. The sub only requires around .7cf. It hits very hard, and very clean. Plus looks good.
