Question bout White Faced Gauges...
Hi guys,
Just finished up the B&M shifter..and i'm looking for something else to do. Probably by the end of the summer i'll get some kind of intake, either the AEM short ram or a CAI. Not sure which one yet. In the meantime tho, i'm thinking about getting some reverse indiglo gauges. What is your input on it ? i've heard about a lot of people breaking their temp needle. How easy is this to do ? I dont want to shell out 300 dollars for a new one. Any input about it, or which intake to get, would be appreciated. THankz

the needles on the gages are EASY to break....the problem is that the hole in most reverse gage faces is NOT big enough to put them on with out removing the needles....I know of NO ONE that has been sucessful at removing them without breaking them. either find a set of gage faces that has a LARGE hole to go around the needles....or....
DON'T DO IT.

Dont do it. I dont know what is the percent of people who have done it and have not broken a needle but I really think its zero and if you dont brake a needle you must be lucky because you will brake one.

I haven't broken mine! Don't get me wrong - they are very delicate. I had the original indigo's a while back that I put on with the small holes; now I have the blue reverse indiglo's.

I love the reverse indiglos but I don´t think they are worth the risk if you´ve never done something like it before, 400$ is a lot of money for a tiny mistake.
They look sweet, kudos to you guys who did this mod succesfully.

I broke my fuel gauge installing the reverse glows.....then i found out that if you make a small incision on the temp/fuel ones, they go on TONS easier, and since the area around the gauges does not light up, you will not even see the little cut. Also, I wired the gauges into my low-beams, instead of my parking lights, when it is dusk, and the parking lights are on, only the needles light up....looks DEMONIC and SWEET.
