hey now, what about electrical wiring nuts? you know? **** the tape dude, and actually forget even sealing the connection, just twist those puppies together and leave them hang loose... lol. seriously, the **** retentive way of doing it (at least for me) is stripping the wire bare, twising them together, sleeving some electrical shrink down the wire and out of the way, running solder into the connection just to keep it tight, then sliding the shrink wrap down over your connection after it has cooled, letting it fry over a zippo flame shortly and you're in business. i only did this for my amplifier and headunit positive feed. speaker wires, hell, i just twist my rear deck speaker wires together and forget about it till i have problems. no crackle, looks ghetto, and i love it, cause nothing says, "I done did this **** myself!" more than laziness and half-assed assembly!!

At least the heat shrink gives some strain relief. Personally, I have only done one twisted wire connection - a lunchtime fix for a broken wire running through my door jamb on another car

I personally like the crimp connections - I use bullet connectors, and I use the different sex for positive and negative to prevent cross wiring when you are mucking around, and I also put the female end (the end that always has insulation completely covering the metal) on the current carrying end (i.e. the positive power lead coming from the car to the component) to prevent accidental shorts. Of course, I sometimes connect and disconnect things when i have power on to troubleshoot connection problems, so I need some insurance

This method gives you lots of flexibility for swapping out and troubleshooting.

Hey! so u did re-wire their speakers?? front and rear one?? any difference??? what gauges did u use. . . to speaker and to amp and sub. . . and does ground wire help in this case ?? cause i got 800W 4 chan amp and 2x12" sub. . . i'm running stock wire . . . and even with stock deck with all s**t , i know that i have to change on aftermarket deck. . . but anyways my driver front speaker is fu**d so i need to change it too. . . in that case i just wanna re-wire it. . .and a stupid question about speaker:
I can get MA AUDIO 200 WATT 6 X 9" SPEAKERS WITH REMOVABLE TWEETER or even 400W same 3-way stuff for almost the same price. .. . . but the problem is: should i get some pioneer or apline speaker for more $$$ instead of this ???does it worth that? or buy UNFAMOUSE BRAND NAME MA AUDIO 200 WATT 6 X 9" instead of alpine or pioneer + $$$
. cause i cannot spend like $400 just for speakers . .
