agh im confused now... ok so that thing that you got... you cut off the stock clamp and shove the wire in there and then screw it down and then put the two 8 gauge wires in the otehr side and then put the whole thing on top of the batery post? am i right on this?

that would give power to the two 8 gauge wires and look hella better in teh engine bay.... and also for the negative post... could I buy a second battery terminal and do the same but I only have one 8 gauge cable on the negative, so would it do any damage or drain the battery since its not hooked up

well, not exactly. I haven't installed it yet - I will do that today. I will cut the stock clamp, then shove the two 8 gauge wires in the left hole, then I will shove my amp's power wire in the right hole (center hole will be empty). Then I will put the whole thing on the positive battery post, screw it down, and put the blue plastic cover on top.

You don't need mine. Mine has one 1 gauge input and two 4 gauge inputs. You want the other model - BCMU1. It has one 4 gauge, one 2 gauge and two 8 gauge outputs. It seems like the better choice for you.... You can get two BCMU1s and put the second one on your negative battery post. Or you could use a BCMU2 for your negative... It's up to you to pick 'em.

Regarding your other question...
..so would it do any damage or drain the battery since its not hooked up..
I assume you're asking about the other outputs that will be left empty? If that's the case, don't worry. You don't have to use up all the outputs. You can connect one, you can connect 99, and it won't make a difference. The battery will be drained based on what you have connected (how MANY things, not FEW... actually how much current you draw ). Yes, you can use the battery terminal and connect only one wire to it - it will not drain your battery.

Go ahead and ask if you have any more questions. I will try and help you as best as I can.

I got her licked! went by audio express today (saw a tight p5 in the parking lot) first mazda ive seen that wasnt stock in real life... anyway and bought what I needed... but im gonna take the clamp back and get teh silver instead of hte gold so that everything matches... that and I'll have to do the negative post later on... anyway these are waht I bought:

http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/STISBTR28P
the terminal wtih the two 8 gauge outputs

http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/STIPROBATTZ
and one of these things except for a 4 gauge wire and its silver..

so the 4 gauge will screw down on top of the calmp and taht will go on teh post and all is good

But now I have another Q... with my little wires that I still have... can i just stick them in the holes with the 8 gauge and crmp everything inside the terminal or do something else?
