Rear Speakers

My Car is a 2001 Mazda Protege DX

I've replaced the Stock HU with a Kenwood KDC-X469
Specs of the Amp in the HU
22 watts RMS/50 peak x 4 channels

What are some good Speakers I can get for the Rear...I do NOT plan on getting an AMP for these speakers..I do want some GOOD speakers though..

Just doing research for now..as I want to get some other things done to my car first (one of them is getting my Windows Tinted)

Looking at
Infinity Kappa 692.5i Specs
Plus One C.M.M.D. woofer cone is 30% larger than other speakers of this size, ensuring strong bass response
high-roll rubber surround allows greater woofer movement
1" Unipivot C.M.M.D. dome tweeter may be rotated up to 355ø for improved imaging
2-way external crossovers (18 dB/octave, 3,500 Hz high- and low-pass)
sensitivity 90 dB
frequency response 35-21,000 Hz
recommended power range 2-110 watts RMS
peak power handling 330 watts
top-mount depth 3-1/4"
3-year warranty
$199

also these look pretty nice..

Kicker K69 Specs
titanium-coated curvilinear injection-molded polygraphite cone
treated polyester foam surround
1" titanium dome tweeter
frequency response 30-21,000 Hz
power range 6-90 watts RMS
peak power handling 180 watts
sensitivity 90 dB
top-mount depth 3-3/16"
1-year warranty
$149

are these speakers good?
If no What Else to Consider

Would my Kenwood HU provide sufficent power to either of the two?
Of course I don't want to underpower them....

I don't want to spend a whole lot more than $200-$250 for a pair of speakers....

If you have no intentions on amping the rear speakers, I would go with Infinity Reference series. They have silk dome tweeters, are inexpensive, and sound great with just deck power. Nothing against their sibling Kappa series, but Kappa's require more juice to produce. I hear of people talking about no bass from the rear when they replace factory spkrs. with the Kappa series.

That's just my 2 cents.

Agreed. The kappa's require more than your HU power.. same thing with those kickers. so I would go with the reference. I had some in my car and they sounded great and hit pretty good for 6x9's... they just dont have alot of sparkle on the high end but still good speakers. the kickers.. Same with the kickers but I dont like how the midle class kickers sound wtihout an amp... they sound iono week so all in all go wti hthe infinity

asylum24 did you resolve the problems with your speakers? I remember you posting something about it. Just curious. I guess another amp is in the works for your highs? I am tempted to order the same Tsunami amp that Intruder has which would have more power and the class D technology versus class A. The thing is, is that my **** sounds good as it is. I could go for a little more bass to put it over the top by getting a ported box. Just the dimming of the headlights is getting to me when the bass hits.

I have Cerwin Vega 6x9's in boxes, which are in boxes just chillin on my back seat. The rear deck on the 92 only allows 6.5" which I've blown my stock and a cheap pioneer set. I don't remember the specs on them, but I have a 30x2 Alpine amp (crossed over @ 80) powering them and they sound great to me. My next project is to cut some bigger holes in my rear deck...
