new kid needs audio help
ok i have a first gen and im ready for audio. i basically have a bunch of stupid simple questions beacuse i am way new to this.
i put in a pioneer cd changer i had from my honda. so, im not going to get a new deck just yet.
here is what i want: two 120 watt pioneer speakers to replace the back stock ones. two 10" 400 watt woofers. and an amp to power it all.
since im working with the original head unit that means i need line-level converters to go from my stock head unit to an amp right? and those go off my speakers...? or will i need to power my speakers from the amp and not be able to use those?
and the amp: how many channels? how many watts? do i need to use my new speakers with an amp? or just woofers? do i bridge a channel for woofers?
basically i need to kno how to set this all up and which amp to get. im new to all this and the amp bit is kinda confusing. can someone please explain at least some of this to me....im a complete newbie. thanks in advance.

thanks for the help. i didnt kno about the pioneer speakers....i will look into others. about the one woofer thing, i have never thought of that. so if i got one 12" woofer would that be just as good as two 10"? my budget is about 200 for an amp. if i go with the one woofer that will be cheaper too. how do i find out if i need LOC? thanks again!

jesus christ, basically our resident audio guru formally worked for best buy? wtf is that ****? most of the ****** retards at best buy don't know their *** from a hole in the ground, BOTH the installers and the salesmen!!! as far as speaks, you'll hear alot of brands...ie infinity, JL, alpine, etc.. no sony, kenwood or pioneer IMHO. i've had one from each and they do blow ***.. i still have my pioneer coaxials cause they're the only ones that have held up in my doors and have a shallow enough profile, but the bottom line IS, they sound like as 
. as far as 1 12 compared to 2 10's, dude, it totally depends on sub, i mean, 2 10 inch sony's could be just as loud as a 12 inch mtx/extant sub. depends on box, amplifier, etc.
