After using the correct wire scheme for the amps, a 1.5 farad stiffening cap, new battery terminals, and new groundkit, the spiral battery finally did the trick! Last night, I took the car on a test drive and cranked out some tunes from bass CDs to test it. There was very very slight dim, but not enough to matter of the headlights. Same with the orange cluster lights. Tonight, I plan on doing the same---test drive with a different bass CD. I even pulled behind a building so I could see headlights on it, and no dimming (and this was at idle). God I hope this is the end of the dim!
