Leaky Trunk

My 93 Protege LX has a leaky trunk and it looks like it's comin from the right tail light. Is this a common problem with proteges and how do i fix it? I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

I had a leak around my left taillight after I had a boo boo from backing into a truck. I just applied some silicone sealant around the inside and now its just fine.

almost all first gens ive seen or looked at have defective rear gasket seals on the trunks. u can add more silicon outta the tube that u can buy at the store. or buy a new Seal from MAZDA. They have redesigned the material and doenst leak.

i destroyed a portion of mine.. thought it was due to my subs cause the **** wasn't dry rotted, but yeah, these cars are the worst for integrity... the windows don't wanna work for ****, the seat belts are a pain in the ***, the door gaskets fall off alot, and road noise...heh, you had might as well cut a large hole in your floor pan, you can hear EVERY ******* noise. good luck with the seal replacement.
peace
