On a P5... the fake button beside the little change holder and foglight switch.

on my ES edition i had a blank spot between the dimmer and the quarter holder
i took the blank spot out and got a foglight switch to place there tap the switch light wire into the real fog light switch and it will dim like the rest of the panel.
and then you can run a power wire from any source you find
i ran mine from the battery with an inline fuse
check out the underdash neon post for great ideas on neon placement
I went and did it in the same place you did. Then I just wired all my interior neons to it. For my neon undercar kit, I just placed a flip switch down near the foot well area.
