The Most Bass in a 2000 Protege right here!(pic)

This is what I had in my car before I got my new ones.
3 12 inch Jl audio W3's
I had to down grade cause my car was falling apart.

I don't think anyone had as much as me in a 2k Protege.

were you powering those speakers off of one Xplod amp? If so more power may have lent to better sound quality however when you bought three of the caliber of subs like that you knew what you were getting into. Those were made for all out thumpin'. My car is loud enough right now with one 12W3.

Yeah i was running them off the one amp,

I was running them supposedly at a 1 ohm load

And the amp is rated at 1 ohm 1000 watts, so i was giving about 333 watts per speaker

A better amp would have made pieces fly off my car most definetly.

hell, i'm satisfied with my two 12w0's and my pioneer premier amp. bass is perfect. i'm not into sound competition, so i guess my priorities are diff. looks like a good setup, and i saw the Boston's on your page. and I believe Ben Dean had a 12w3 custom setup in his 00 dx with mb quartz components. www.protege00.com i think he might have pictures of it somewhere on there.

3 12w3's in a pro? wow, you have big kahunas. i'm hoping you had it sound deadened? well, your new subs should be just a right. actually, two 12w3's woulda been good too, but you're right about having better sq with the bostons...

nice setup tho!

(i'm running one 12" fusion powerplant)

12w6s are not as good as the 12w3s. That is why they just redesigned them. They were about 7 year old technology. when they introduced the 12w3s the sales of 12w6 went down and the local shops here stopped ordering them. I am completely happy with my 12w3 and my mb quarts....for now at least....

The 3 jls with the box weighed around 70 lbs, Lots of performance reduction with those bad boys in.
