You can safely relocate that box you have. It's not going to be an airbag or ABS sensor. All of those components have wires that are covered with orange or yellow wire loom. Furthermore, they would not put that part in the kick panel. My guess would be the door lock relay. You can safely unplug it and see what stops working on your car if you want to know for sure.

I'm getting set to do my rear speakers, and I think I will try the crossovers in the doors there. How did you attach the crossover to the inside of the door? I was thinking about heavy-duty double-sided tape.

And did you use anything to protect the crossovers from moisture? It seems like that would be a must for anything inside the door.

the small box behind the passenger kick panel is the cruise control module.

I just screwed them right into the metal using the existing mounting holes in the x-over units and some shallow sheet metal screws. Cake.

And I didn't put any moisture protection, other than what is already there. I put them on top of the vapor barrier, screwing thru the plastic sheeting and into the metal. The area under the door panel gets no more moisture than any other semi-interior part of the car - I mean, the speakers are there, the door switches, lock switch - unless you let the car get rained on heavily with the window or door open, moisture won't be much of a factor. Mine are holding up just fine.
