Anyway..
I decided to do something useful while waiting for the good stuff.
I designed a circuit and drew a pretty picture!
The circuit has a switch that controls the intensity of the blue light I put in the subwoofer box - HIGH, LOW or OFF.
This is what it looks like right now on the prototype board. (ugly!!)
Here's how it works:
RED LED is lit - light is "LOW"
Flip the switch, GREEN LED is lit - light is "HIGH"
Now (maybe tomorrow) I'm going to put all the components on a small PCB. Then I have to find one of those "blank speaker-terminal plates" and mount the LEDs + the switch on it. I'll post more pics when it's done.

Looks good, VERY bright. You have too much time on your hands! HA HA Hopefully you will get your stuff in today. If not, I would contact them again so that they can get a move on, and perhaps it will be here in time for the weekend!! I am waiting on a ground kit, battery terminals, and such to come in today or tomorrow, unless shipped to the same UPS areas that your stuff went to
Hopefully, I will have that done and get some other cosmetic stuff ready or done by the weekend. Come on, don't rain this weekend, PLEASE!! I need to update pics on my sounddomain site.

the light isn't VERY bright. it gets overexposed... and becomes a huge BLUE spot... it really isn't that bright.
UPS started moving my sub...
the progress page says it will be delivered on the 18th (tomorrow) which is good enough but I just sent an email to eD and asked them who is to blame for this 1 week delay because I paid 70 friggin dollars for PRIORITY SHIPPING, dammit...!
no word on the amp yet... this is ridiculous

But that's what happens when you have high hopes and expectations for something. I paid the extra money to have the **** FAST. What I got is slower than GROUND. Damn...I still haven't gotten a tracking number for the amp, and if the sub doesn't get delivered on Friday, it will be delayed till Monday!
I want my s&h money back!
I don't know where ED is, but the items are shipped from Iowa... It would've been faster if I went there and got them myself!

I agree. At LEAST free shipping especially the amount you paid! I mean, you spent so much time planning and then building a box to their specs and even played around with adding L.E.D.s or neon, and the things are still not in. At least with my **** that was delayed in the past wasn't a dilema because I had to finish one thing before going to the next. When the time the next thing came up, it was already in. Unbelievable! Shame on Elemental Designs!

The sub is 100 miles away - in Sacramento. It will probably get here on Friday, cuz it usually has to go to a sorting facility in South San Francisco. Stays there overnight and leaves for Sunnyvale, and from there the UPS truck delivers it the following day.
My cables will be here tomorrow. Do you remember what I said to Blue LEDz when he told me to get my wires from Knukonceptz? "It's too late, I don't want to wait for the wires cuz my stuff will be here by Friday". Hell, now I'm gonna be waiting for the amp instead of the wires - and I bought them a WEEK after paying $70 for shipping.
