I'm going to order that JVC deck after x-mas, if you have pics of it installed send em to me man, I've been wondering what it looks like in ours! :-)
I used the metra DW-7501... it certainly worked, but i wouldnt say it worked well... I didnt cut down the stock dash trim to make it fit around the HU, so it doesnt look very profesional, but the jvc is so pretty, i dont really look at anything else.

As for pictures, i dont have any, but there are some out there of it in our cars... i cant remember where i saw them tho...

what can i say, I had only seen pics of it, sorry. In that case, maybe no kit is best, just a small something to plug up the 1/2" gap....

Nobody's bashing kenwood. A lot of people have just been less than satisfied with their units. When you spend that much money on a HU, you expect to be blown away. While they are the "best-looking" (imo), other decks in the same price range can outperform them (clarion, nak, eclipse, even alpine, pioneer).

You shouldn't care what people think about your deck if you yourself like it. Besides, you know the excelon deck doesn't suck ***.

someone in another thread about MP8017 said that is completely sucked adn that they couldn't get the id3 tags to work properly. I have had the deck since a day after I bought my car and it works perfectly. Its all about personnal preference though. There was a mag. on the news stand last month that said the MP8017 was an excellant deck and probably the best deck in its class. I would have bought Alpine's MP3 deck if it wasn't like $700. Their products are awesome...probably the best in my opinion. This doesn't really belong on this thread but i would recommend the MBQuart speakers to replace the stock speakers. Rockford Fosgate just bought MBQuart and since they were a small company now they have all of rockford's resources so they will have some even tighter products soon!!!
