CompuSTAR Alarm/Starter Opinions?
Hey guys,
i'm looking at picking up either the 2WFM-AS or the 2WSS-AS models...
the SS (Spread Spectrum) version has a farther range for the pager alarm than the FM version...
does anyone have either? what are you thoughts on it? how is the remote starter?
TIA

If you scroll down 10 threads you'll find this one http://www.protegeclub.com/forum/sho...threadid=13811 Pretty sure there was a lot of info there.
and if possible, use the search function (very top right corner of page) it will pop up alot of info, as compustart, alarm/remote start have been discussed many times.
Personally, i'd ditch both for a Viper Responder, but thats just me.

hey there, just gotta add this: ALL alarms work best in "line of sight". the compustar 2wssr will give you a 1.25mi range in a 1.25mi field. but consider this as well, the range of all pager alarms gets reduced in high traffick areas, so having more range to play with is a good option to consider.
btw, i have the 2wfmr.

Actually my two year old unit works pretty darn well- one of my offices is in a secure Data Center, with walls designed to hold up in a F5 tornado (don't ever want to actually find out though!) and copper sheilding of the mainframes, yetl I can still start the car before I leave my office! Great stuff here where it is 100+ in the summer and 0 in the winter. You still gotta find me a job in the islands!
