CompuStar Alarm Security

Man i just installed the CompuStar Security Alarm on my P5 and man is this the best alarm. Comes with:
Remote start ( can be set to autostart when temperature drops below like 35 Degrees C. )
Engine Kill
Auto Arm (walk 20 feet from car it auto arms and walk back it auto disarms - can be turned off.
Valet Mode (disarms alarm and can only use key to open doors)
Shock Sensor
Pager unit that lets you know exactly what your car is doing - has little icons. (transmits up to 1/4 mile radius thru concrete also. Tells you if the door is open, trunk open, hood open, where the car is being punctured.. and yadayada)
Remote Power Window control.
Remote power door locking
Remote trunk release
and a huge LIST of other features.
No other alarms can compare.


Retail price at a&b sound is $799 + tax. ( not including install )
Got it off a buddy for $650 ( inlcudes install and tax )

you got the 2wfmr? the next model up adds another mile to that range. cool huh?

not ta burst your bubble noodle, but i could got it to you cheaper than that... prolly for like $600CDN with all features installed, including tax... not hot...

but it's a smokin alarm none the less! I love mine!!!
so for all those in the Vancouver area, gimme a shout if ya want one for CHEAP!!!

oh, and 1hwn... the spread spectrum one isn't available in canada anywhere... I checked with everyone I knew when I was shopping for mine... apparently they're backordered across the globe

damn, that sux i guess. but the 2wfmr is still a bad@ss alarm. really, the only difference is the vibrate mode and the xtra mile range. other than that it's the same thing.

yeah, the autopage is a cool alarm too. but what is with the extra keychain thingy? do you need both? or can the pager thing operate the alarm by itself? looks pretty cool tho!

Who's your contact for the alarm? I bet it's the same guy cuz i asked several people around Van and they all refered me to the same guy that does it in his garage. But hey, 650 vs 900? still a good deal.

The second remote is there as an extra, the LCD does a hell of alot more .

MacDaddy I need your help with my alarm since you are familiar with Remote Start on Manuals and Pro's..

Mac Daddy, where are ya located?

and noodles, it prolly is the same guy... i just have a bit more sway cuz I bought my whole audio setup and some other junk off him, referred an alarm setup, and 3 other possible complete audio setups right now, a civic, a plymouth van, and a corolla... but HELLYA!!! either way $650 is a steal!!!

I'm really happy with my Compustar... and in USD it worked out to just over $400 installed including taxes. My only complaint so far is that it should come with a cover instead of a pager holder... i don't like the holder cuz it's too big, but then i accidently push buttons sometimes... no biggie though... all in all it's PACKED with features and is still pretty damn good in my opinion... especially for the price!
