CLiFfoRd alarm hELP! paging
Hey sup fellas. I just got my matrix 3 clifford alarm installed a week ago and i was planning on adding dual proximity and the clifford paging system(i think its th same as the viper one) do you guys know if it is any good? can anyone speak from experience?

The dual proximity sensor works great as long as it's properly adjusted. The main selling point for this sensor is to detect falling glass into the interior of the car when someone breaks in. The paging system works up to 1/4 mile, but don't expect it to notify you if you are at the other end of a mall or in a theater.

true, but i have gotten pages in a theater before, it all depends on location, but generally, if you are in a large building, it won't get a signal.
Even outside, Downtown in a large city, there's too much interferance and the signal gets lost. This is for any type of RF system, beit pagers, or 2-way pager remotes.

last question
Hey thanks a lot guys. your advice is really usefull. I have one last question i was hoping you guys could help me with. I wanted to see if i was able to put in a different paging system that was not by clifford or viper into my clifford matrix 3? Can you guys advise me on this? Do you guys have any other suggestions to protect my system?

Any good pager system will have both negative and positive trigger inputs (which usually connect to the alarms siren wire) so yes, any pager system will work with any alarm system. The DEI pager system is a very good one, and it's not all that expensive either. But i rarely even use mine anymore, only if i go out to an unknown city or whatever and even then the brain dosen't always remember to bring it.
Alittle security and a lot of commun sense will keep your car proteceted, but there's no sure fire protection system....well maybe a 24/7 pitbull or doberman on duty.

Soo confused
Does anyone know if i am able to combine the lcd 2 way paging of the compustar with my clifford matrix? If so how much do you think it will cost me for the two way paging part. HElPP heh

I think your confused about paging systems, the pager system i was refering to was a regular looking pager that clips to your belt. It's not a remote, it's just a pager that alerrts you when the alarm goes off.
What your refering to is a 2-way pager, which is also the remote for the alarm. In which case the DEI is a very good choice, also ppl seem to like the Compustar system as well.
these are 2 very different types of pagers.
But to answer your question, No. Each brand has a distinct coding algorythym and are not interchangable. Although all brands of DEI are in fact interchangable to a certain extent, but i'm unsure about the new LCD model.
