CD player screwed up..I think

I have a 2002 ES, and I've noticed that the CD player doesnt play some of my cd's at all. It's very random though. Sometimes it plays my burned cd's but it doesnt play quite a few of my original CD's.

I keep pushing it in, it spits it out...battle with it a couple more times and then give up. Has anyone experienced this and have a solution? Should I take it to the dealer and will they replace it for me?

you have a 2002...its CERTAINLY under warranty.....take it to the dealer....have in hand some ORIGINAL cd's that it won't play....those that are not BURNT cd's.....show them how it is screwed up....they should replace the unit.

I have an 02 ES Sedan. The CD player plays all purchased CDs fine. It did have some trouble with burned CDs, but I was burning my CDs at the fastest burn speed (32X). I decreased this to the slowest speed (8X) and it hasn't had a problem with them since.

If you are having problems with store bought CDs, I'd guess your player has a problem. Get the dealer to replace itunder warranty.

Sounds like your CD player doesn't like your music! On a serious note, my old Alpine plays both CDs and CDRs with no problem. My dad burned me a jazz CD, and it kept spitting it out, but come to find out, it was on a wrong kind of disc (Media Storage disc) which had nothing to do with the player.
