Assessing my Audio Situation~Protege 5

Well I have my new Red Protege5, well ive had it about 5 months now. And its time for that stereo to go. But remember im 16 so this will take a few months to get the money for.....

So this is what I want, im very addiment about high quality sound! that is my first priority, meaning new speakers. And a addition of two-three new components.... Tweeters up front for a high end that doesnt exist right now, and a sub or two or three in the trunk for the virtually indistinguishable low end.

So right now im looking at a setup like this speakerwise:
Jbl GTO series, in 2way model up front
Jbl GTO series, 3 way for the back
Jbl titanium 1 inch tweeters mounted somewhere upfront (suggestions?)
and for the trunk im thinking 2 10inch floor mounted Cerwin vega or JL audio subs.... and a Rockford or JL audio amp....

and head unit wise im thinkin a Kenwood Mp3 like the MP3 has in it.

So does anyone have any suggestions on what to get? comments?

My main question is mounting the subs in the trunk (i dont want too much extra weight ya know) and tweeters?

b4 i suggest anything, what is your budget like? i know you're 16, so how much money are ya willing to spend? i just had my box made today for my 12" fusion powerplant, and it's pretty shallow and not that heavy. check it out if you like, it's in my sig.

Well I really dont have a budget, but I would rather not spend much more than 1k on the speakers..... not including head unit and stuff

omigod, $1k for speakers alone? you'll have no problem with that! if i may suggest, altho the jbl's may serve your purpose, you have a HUGE range of options with your "budget", i'd probably go with:

dei
crystal
focal
a/d/s
eclipse

for your subs, if you plan to go with jl, the w3's are nuts! i sold my 10" w3 and box for $100...yeah, i know, i'm an idiot. but the w3's are bad@ss!

if you are buying off the net, check out www.thezeb.com or www.mmxpress.com they usually have sales and a lot of people have good stuff to say about those two places.

Hey man. You picked a good car for a great-sounding stereo. For a list of my stereo mods, check my signature at the bottom. It sounds absolutely perfect. I've got enough power on the highs (200 front/50 rear) to keep up with the sub, and enough power on the sub(250) to keep up with most people with 500 watts in the trunk. The JL amp gets LOUD. I actually let a customer at my job at a local stereo shop listen to it and it stomped a hole in his Audiobahn amp and 2-12 bandpass box. And I don't think I could do much better than the Diamond Audio highs. I put my tweeters on the triangle panels at the top of the door panel. Here are some pics if you want some ideas and keep in mind that I no longer have those Eclipse amps, but have a huge JL amp in their place. http://www.geocities.com/onephtwagn/onephtwagn.html
Good luck in your quest.
