My Current Situation

I'm going to be getting some Ground Control coil overs here pretty soon. I haven't heard anything bad about them and GC just kicks ***. As for the struts, I am going to leave them stock for now. Are they going to wear out quickly after I lower it? It will probably get lowered around 1-1.25in. I heard talk about the ZX2 struts on here, they sound like they give the most bang for the buck. Where can I order up some of these and how much are they going for?

The ZX2 struts only fit the 90-94 BF-chassis Protege. However, you might want to consider buying a set of stock MP3 Tokico struts. They have become much more affordable now that Mazda is selling them as an accessory kit. If you (or a friend) are on the Mazda Team Support program, you can buy them for $405 a set.

I would strongly encourage you to replace the stock struts. With GC's, the stock struts will wear out faster, and IMHO they aren't stiff enough for aftermarket springs anyway.

Yeah, yeah, I know that, but the "f" and "g" keys are next to one another on the keyboard
