I just bought a used pair of infinity reference speakers and was all set to install in my car... and the damn screw holes dont line up.. anyone else run into this problem..? i could only get 2 of the 4 screws in place.. and so i popped my pioneers back in until i figure out what to do....

not sure if i want to drill out the speaker bracket or drill out my door panel? any ideas?

 

as long as the speaker fits and the magnet doesnt hit the window just make new holes thats all there is to it.

 

make a wood ring about 1/2" think and mount that in the orginal holes in the car then mount the speakers to the wood. this will allow you to not worry about mounting depth.
