Smile Install Front Speakers for 92 Protege LX

Hi Everyone,

As a proud owner of a 92 Protege LX, I decided to upgrade the front speakers of the car. However, its not as easy as I thought.... do I have to remove the whole door panel to do so?? If so, what are the steps to do so??

Thanks!!

yes, you have to remove the whole door panel......

just unscrew all the screws holding, pull the bottom towards you so it pops out and then push it up.....it's fairly easy to do.......

removing the panels definitely makes it easier.
i think your panels are a little different from mine, but should come off the same. just remove the screw holding the door handle, and then remove the 2(?) screws under little covers along the bottom of the panel. you should then be able to 'pop off' the panel, slide the handle through the opening and disconnect the power window harness.
