2002.5 cup holders

I was wondering if I would be able to just order that whole plastic piece with the cup holders in it, pop mine out of my 2002 P5 and put the new piece in. Is it the same colour/size/etc?

Two more questions about it, any idea how much it will cost? Would it be worth the money?

Thanks,
Dawn

not the same color. It's more of a silvery color. I don't know the price, but if I were to guess, I'd say around $50-$70. As far as if it's worth it, that's all in your eyes!

You're kidding right? Was this from a call to the dealer?

BTW fraay seeing as you are in Edmonton Alberta keep checking the regional section of the baord for our next local meet. I guess you missed the last on ein Red Deer. Oh well next time. Welcome anyway.

The cup holders are seperate from the trim piece. It can be unscrewed from the bottom and removed. See if you can order just the cup holder section. You shouldn't have to replace the entire trim piece around the shifter.

cup holders..

Hmm 80 bux US seems a little crazy.. if I had heard that they were SUPER WONDERFUL.. and it was the same colour, it might be worth considering.. *rant on* simply because I find it absolutely EMBARASSING to have to explain to friends that the car is still a great car, even though the company that built it wasn't able to do something as simple as make the cup holders, hold cups.. *rant off*

If I could just order the cup holder part, the colour wouldn't matter.. and hopefully it wouldn't cost so much.. do the new cup holders work? I still haven't figured out what to do with the rear seating as far as cup holders go either..

As for the regional meet. Yes, I heard about that.. I'm a "real life" friend of Jas... er Sandman.. I would have liked to be there (atleast to get a red P5 in the pictures! ), but I was camping in the US..

This still won't work since the trim piece has a slightly different shape that the original ones.

and the old ones are one piece except for the little door. It does come off, but you can't attach the 2002.5 or '03 models onto your existing one. I doubt its any better, just looks different.

Okay so I just ordered the 2003 cup holders to replace my stupid 2002 cup holders. I got fed up with the ones in my P5. Yes they only come in silver but I got an auto-body shop to colour match the metallic grey for me and they put it in a spray can. Now I have to wait to get the piece to repaint it. I will post some pics when I am done with that project. Oh the cost is $85 CDN but I get a bit off of that at my dealer.

No problem with the paint, as they put it in one of those spray cans, you know, the tall ones. So I am betting I could do a bunch of these. As for a deal, I get 15% off at my dealer since I bought my P5 there.

Okie.. I just talked to Jim at Jarman.. my question for you is.. how the heck did you figure out which part number to get? I don't think mine is the same as yours because I have an auto.. and yours is manual..

You said you ordered the 2003 cup holder? He said they don't have parts lists for the 2003's yet.. you get yours from the 'other' dealership?? (tsk tsk)
