I just called Pugi and spoke with Jerri. He told me they were in fact OEM mazdaspeed struts as he is a mazda dealer...I informed him that I owned a mazdaspeed and these didn't match at all...i also let him know about all of the pictures sent ito me by actual MSP owners and how it's not even close.... he just said to send them back to him and he'd refund the money via paypal.

He offered to refund the money but was insistant that he was selling genuine parts to me.... I'd like to slap him in his ****** mouth.

Maybe if you drop the SPEED part off the end... Then it would be correct

Sucks that you had to deal with this crap but its good to know your gonna get refunded! I wouldve loved to see his face when you said you owned a mazdaspeed and that the struts werent right, just as his plan backfired...lol

I also invited him to visit this thread for my reasoning behind why I wanted the refund.

was this ever resolved?

i had a look at a brand new (in box) strut for an 03 msp and it looked pretty much identical to the struts in the first picture posted. ie. no warning labels/ same shade of blue/ same black area near where it's bolted/ same blue paint rubbed off on the box. just the strut with the part # and Tokico engraved into it. paint was marred up a bit as well (no foam or anything in the box from factory), but not as bad as yours.

just some food for thought anyway.
