Jacking up the car to relief pressure?

Just a thought, let me know what you guys think. I've read all over the threads that lowering a car without changing the factory struts will cause the struts to wear down quicker... well... how about this? Jack up your car once in a while (say every 2-3 weeks) to relief the pressure on the struts? Just a thought... let me know if the theory is alright, or it's just plain silly

You can do this if you want, you'll just wind up with really strong arms. The shocks don't wear when the car isn't moving. It happens when the car is going down the road. It won't make a difference whether you jack up the car every night. The springs moving up and down cause the wear.
