Jacking up the car to relief pressure?

Just a thought, let me know what you guys think. I've read all over the threads that lowering a car without changing the factory struts will cause the struts to wear down quicker... well... how about this? Jack up your car once in a while (say every 2-3 weeks) to relief the pressure on the struts? Just a thought... let me know if the theory is alright, or it's just plain silly :D

You can do this if you want, you'll just wind up with really strong arms. :D The shocks don't wear when the car isn't moving. It happens when the car is going down the road. It won't make a difference whether you jack up the car every night. The springs moving up and down cause the wear.
