well, I'm seeing what can be done to get the Stage 2 NA cams finished rather quickly. I'm wanting a set of these for myself and after driving the R&D set I know they make a difference. I'm just waiting to hear back from Andy about helping out if he wants me to.

Anybody considered ways to drop vehicle weight before heading to the track? In an hour or so, the passenger seat, rear seat, spare tire, jack, head unit, windshield washer fluid, cargo mat, and a lot of other stuff (get creative here) can come off the car that ought to lighten it by at least 100 pounds. I wonder if you could knock off a few tenths...
The only real down side I see to all of this is that it takes more prep time, and if you take off a lot of interior trim (door trim panels, etc), you increase the chances for annoying squeeks and rattles. Horsepower is important, but what really is important is the number of pounds each hp has to haul around!

true...I usually only remove the non-essential stuff....nothing. I will be running this week on just two baby spare tires on the rear. This should be fun to see if it helps any.

I dont know what to say about an engine swap

by the time your done spending on what would be the biggest waste of money I have heard mention of around here you are gonna have a p5 that goes a little faster.

I understand your desire to want to mod and make it faster and beeter but there are so many more and better solutions then the stuff you are talking about doing.. I ask you to use some logical thinking. and I also agree that you should atleast know about the engine before you "try" the swap

you should find it more easy just to do your internals, turbo and all those other goodies.

and if you want to beat a 13's integra the 3 engine swap and really gonna do **** for you

Actually if he handles the fuel delivery right and the bottom end handles the power, N20 will help that turbo spool faster, and a T3-4 may need some help on the protege if you dont want lag

I've seen the stock bottom end give out on NA cars...I'd say about 20% of the boosted cars have blown a motor and about 75% of N2o cars have lost pistons.....it's a dommed situation....obviously though we're preaching to someone who knows the bible inside-out. He'll figure it out on his own...remember...money isn't an issue cause his buddies own a shop...(roll eyes)

i did the GT3 oil change once and it was 22hp! VERY realisitic...they must've used a K&N oil filter!

it would be better just to go hiboost on your P5, you get a lot more than 180hp

not a LOT more....24hp more than what he claimed....the M3 2.3L only makes 160....

He'd do best to read some books and quit watching F&F to find out which color APC stickers adds the most RWHP.
