That's unfortunate about your wheel. Actually last night I was cruising wheelmax's webpage (dreaming about 5-spoke 17s since cleaning 10-spokes is really ftl) and thinking about how thin those Exel rims are. On the site they look pretty fragile.

Seems like you've done pretty well with 3.2" of sidewall until now!
34.3 pounds with a 20 pound kumho ecsta mx on them too! the straight on view does make them look a bit fragile, and the point where the spoke meets the outer part is admittedly quite small, but it's all good

the bend is probably repairable, but I'm still glad I got a spare wheel since the gunmetal version of the wheel disappeared off the wheelmax site a while back.

I've got enough sidewall to safely traverse a minefield.

I've been considering getting those Exels in silver and rolling 45 series A/S. Or maybe stay at 16" with '06 Miata rims...

marine geology/geophysics, I will probably do alot of offshore work when I graduate, which in turn means cash for upgrades! funny thing is I went to highschool in nebraska beach>river

the weather so far isnt impressive lol, the city I live in is right on the coast though so some of the roads flood easily (pray for no hydrolock) but my new apartment has the steepest drive way I have ever seen so I think the car is safe hehe.

it's way dirty right now but it still gleams in the sunlight lol

that's what happens if I don't wash the car for 3 or 4 days during the winter.

I just couldn't get around this slowpoke on the beltway this morning. He wouldn't break 70 and had a mile of open space in front of him. Frustrating. The worst part of it was he was driving and MSP!
