*gasp* today I had 4 people (including me) in the car. It only happens like a couple times a year.
It was even better though, because I realized that everyone in the car was a mazda driver. I should get them on this forum, eh? Protege MP3 (blue), Mazdaspeed Protege (blue) and Mazda3 (blue).. my 22v was outnumbered :P
omg the car is pulling mega strong today since it was -8C when I left around 9.

booo my car is loaded full of crap (including my full set of snow tires) again.
I need to check the weather forecast for every city along my route today to check for snow, since the snow in central/western NY is so localized

I checked and it's supposed to be 45-49F (unseasonably warm) and sorta sunny in Albany, Utica, Rome, Syracuse, and Rochester. I've checked traffic webcams on the New York State Thruway (the only way to get across NY without it taking days on 35mph backroads) and no snow on the road (or ground) anywhere.
And why.. well it's a lot easier to spend 5 minutes researching than spending an hour outside where it is 26F still putting my snow tires on. remember I don't have my floor jack with me (weight savings yo).
it's all good, there won't be any problems getting back and if there are.. well I can just pull over and slap on my snow tires. I'd much rather do it when I get 'home' to school and have a garage with a propane heater.

finally back in my apartment, drive up...6hours, drive down 4.5hours. I sat in traffic so long that it took a whole tank of gas instead of 3/4. filled up 12.775 gallons when I got up there, I cut it a bit closer than I wanted to. Finally sealed my chipped fog lamp which was good since my entire trip back was rain. And as luck would have it now Im sick(I blame the combination of small children and bad sleep).

And now you know. And knowing's half the battle!
and if you've got 4 wheels and tires in the back, weight savings doesn't really seem to be that high on your list lol
