Yeah whenever my dad is talking about some part he designed he's talking in thousandths and then switches to 64ths or some other weird fraction and I just can't picture what he's talking about anymore.
+1 for most Korean girls being really cute. I've met a ton just from my best friend being Korean.
I have no idea why I always assumed you were asian Josh .. no idea why though, I can't explain why my mind works the way it does most of the time

I had rain/sleet in my mirrors this morning. miserable outside here.
a few minutes ago I did remove a bunch of bolts and plastic screws and found where the body shop stuck my engine block heater plug.. thing was zip-tied to the bumper support beam!! wtf!! Why the hell didn't they ask me before making that sort of modification to my car, did they just assume that I didn't need/use the engine block heater? When they took the car the plug was sticking out the front grille :P
right now it is just hanging down from the front bumper, and I can just tuck it up over the intercooler hot pipe to keep it out of the way when I plow snow with my car
I can't wait to start my car the next time I do and have instant heat and probably 2 of my 3 exhaust leaks (manifold - head, egr - manifold, and s - j pipe all have leaks, they go away after a few minutes though) silent.
I wish the engine block heater was easier to install so I could recommend it to people.

Less. I got like 30 max highway when the car was stock. To be fair, it's not like the mods pay for themselves in gas savings, I get 22-24mpg on my non-highway tanks. City gas mileage pre-turbo was never below 28mpg in a tank, and that's with really working the RPMs all the time (as you sorta need to when naturally aspirated)
To get 36mpg you need:
- header
- midpipe (catted)
- catback exhaust (you'll seriously NEED the racing beat so that this is almost a tolerable noise level.. even then, it's too loud for me.. if you can't stand the noise go turbo later on, huge improvement)
- underdrive pulley
- cold air intake
I have the FS-ZE intake cam and had the MP3 ECU --also no longer have the underdrive pulley
The noise level required to get 28 city 36 highway is nothing any car company would sell you stock, for good reason.
I was also running 42psi front 40 rear (not cold pressure though.. after a 20 minute drive to the gas station where I put more air in while fueling up) the whole time, which with rubber band tires and s-techs is quite an experience, Rob can vouch for how plush the ride was
I'm guessing a pressure that high would have some negative consequences for the life of your tires. I wouldn't normally up the tire pressure for a long trip (did 1000 miles that weekend) but my summer tires are coming off probably by next week and aren't going back on in the spring --I didn't care about tread life.

<begin rant> firstly texas is a big enough state as is, so most people enjoy the +5mph rule. the inside lane on the highway is for people wanting to go a bit faster than the speed limit so people its necessary to camp in there doing 5 under! on top of that I got boxed in front, back, and side doing 5 under <end rant>
phew all better now, how long are the stock shocks supposed to last? as far as I can remember I havent changed mine, and I dont know how to tell if their done for or not, the roads in this town may as well be offroad anyways. Im at 75k miles or so...something tells me their past due.
