Blipping, as you describe it.. is the only reason my car survived during the really cold days.. I would get the blade stuck (tricky as heck on this car, I agree), as you said, about an inch up.. and let them thaw.. and wipe the window.. the other method I had to use once or twice.. was the "ace ventura" method of sticking my head out the window.. despite frantic searching through the car manual.. I find no mention of either of these techniques

The other method, that was mentioned to me by a local who frequents this board.. was not to turn on the heat inside the car, and then the windows wouldn't frost up.. but I tell ya.. if I wanted to freeze my *** off weathering the cold winters here, I would have kept buying bus passes and saved myself 20 grand.

I think the use of low beams for daytime running lights was a stupid move.. most other cars use high beams or fog lights but why low beams.. even at 70% the low beams will burn out faster.. just because of all the use..

I have the sedan, and I can't stand the cup holders either. The cup holders are the same from 99-03. They say that the '03.5 is a little different.

Hey...I like the beige interior! Better than the generic gray every other car has.

**** - how did I forget this gripe:

Why can we NOT use the washer sprayer WITHOUT the wipers swiping?

I have ruined several sets of wiper blades this winter. All the windshield needed was a nice dousing with fluid to melt some thin frost that formed overnight. But instead, the wipers swish across it, which ruins them.

Sure - I could scrape it. But WHY? I'm pretty sure every other car I have ever owned allowed me to simply spray fluid without the wipers sweeping.

The newer beige in the 01+ models looks much much better. It's two tone, wheres the 99/00 "beige" is one solid, darker color throughout the car.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I think my seats are the same, but my dash & door panels look better.

My only gripe about the interior is the shift ****. I already wore the "nubbies" off one side, and it looks dirty, and won't come clean. I'm thinking about getting a wood one; should look nice with the beige.

Maybe this is too big of a complaint, but more than any wipers or locks or anything else, why is my Pro5 SO DAMN SLOW! I like my car and all, but a few more horsepower straight out of the factory would've been appreciated.

Is yours an automatic? Im surprised at all the complaints from the 130 HP P5 owners, as Im pleased with the performance of my 122 HP ES, and you all have 8 more HP and more torque than me.

Of course its not a race car, but I never expected it to be, thus maybe why I avoid disapointment.

It has more than enough power to get out of its own way, which is about all you can expect out of a car such as this.

Exactly...It is a compact economy car... not a sport compact, not a sports car, not anything else...

The suspension is capable of a lot more power, but it is not underpowered by any means when compared to other cars in the economy car segment...
