Actually what anoys me is how the car loves to buck when i am in 1st gear...I have basically tried everything to fix this!!

New Sparkco Wires (Didn't Do Sh*t)
New Spark Plug wires (Helped Ever so Slightly)

that's annoys me the most...B/c i sit in traffic every day!!

Chas

P.S. Also..the cup Holders Suck D*ck..Mazda should do a Recall!

mirrors... yeah... that's the one

I'm glad I'm not the only one that does not like that the mirrors do not move out far enough... I have to open them up to see if there is a way to "adjust" the mechanicals... that would be my biggest "bugs me" with the car right now.

If I could have a 6th speed that would be awesome too ... he he he...

And I fixed my other pet-peeve already... intermittent wipers.

You can fix the wiper issue very easily. Not sure you can get them to go any faster but you can work with the delay.

Here is link.

My complaint: the seats need more lateral support.

Power door lock location at the drive side, and lack of power door lock switch at the passenger side.

Cold engine rattle.

Speedomter/dash lights become much less visable when the sun shine on it or during sunset when having headlamps turned on.

AC button location. I always turned it on accidentally when I adjust the fan and temperature setting while I am driving and my eyes staring at the road.

(A little bit) lack of HP, but this isn't really bugging me a lot though.

This may sound trivial, but when you adjust the dash lights, the CRUISE light and the red indicator on the CD player stay really bright. When it's late and I have the dash lights turned down they just burn holes in my retinas. I'm tempted to cover them up or disable them or something.

I believe that the cup holders in the 2002.5+ Protege5 are a big improvement over the 2002. However I can't look up the thread due to stupid search not working

What cupholders? Those things cant even hold onto my beer .
The horsepower is not an issue with me because the car weighs 2537pounds. But the lack of power when you have the ac on is not even funny, I feel like I'm driving a tank.

What about the lack of a timer on the rear window defrost? I would hate to burn the elements out. That has happened in previous cars I've had. I would also like the power windows to be lit like the P5 has on the drivers side for his/her window. Maybe on the sunroof switches too. Too picky?

The only annoyance that I can't seem to find a decent way around is the lack of "between visor" maps lights on the non-moonroof models. I don't mind the map lights mounted with the dome light, they still work fine, but I can never find the buttons in the dark while I am driving. Plus the empty void between the visors looks stupid...

I totally forogot about this one - and totally agree.

Same with the turn signal indicators - I wish all the dash lights would dim evenly.

Sounds like you're a "dim dash" kinda guy, like me, plasmaBoy. I hate bright lights, too - and those certain indicators that don't dim are rather annoying.

I think the worst is the high beam blue one. I mean if you have the high beams on, you are probably in the dark and trying to minimize internal glare so you can see the deer better. Then they put the blind 'o matic high beam light in and screw it all up.

thats weird, i'm happy with my cupholders, (03 DX), my last cupholders were in a 95 altima, the kind that slide in or out and when your drinks were in them you couldn't access the storage thing and it blocked the stereo, which bugged the HELL out of me...........happy with my cupholders!!

Do anybodys windows fog up? I've had an old 323 wagon (maybe an 89) and those windows fogged up too. It happens usually during winter (probably some condensation from the mats) but my other cars haven't done that.
