warranties
Not sure if this is where I would post this question or not, bare with me I'm new at this.
I'm yet to finalize my deal and haven't decided what to do about extended warranties. Any Advice??
You always hear stories about extended warranties just being a cash grab by the dealership, is this true or are they really worth the extra $$.

Warranties are like insurance. Your car could explode on it's first day out of warranty...or it might not. It's a gamble.
I'm not too sure about the Mazda warranty, but for my dad's new CR-V, they opted to go with the extended warranty. If they don't make a claim against the warranty by the time it expires, they get all of their money back.
I didn't have the money to throw into all 7 years that Mazda offers, so I just took an extra year of warranty.

two things....
ONE, if you get an extended warrantee...pay for it out right....do NOT put it as part of your financeing....if you do...you are paying interest on the warrantee as well....
TWO, you can purchase the extended warrantee from Mazda LATER...you do not have to get it right away...this will allow you to see just how your car performs....I believe all that is required is that there is at least a few months or something like that left in order to extend it....ask the finance manager...that is usually who does all the extended warrantee stuff..
good luck.

Thanks for all the input!!! It is nice to see that people actually use these forums. I am pleased to announce that I am the proud new owner of a Pro5 std black w/ sunroof!! Just picked up this afternoon and have already put 150kms on it (just couldn't stop driving).
Next question....
What is the difference between a sunroof and a moonroof??

Sunroof=A part of the roof that can retract. When the sunroof is closed you cannot see thru it.
Moonroof=Also a part of the roof you can retract, but you can also tilt it. You can see through moonroofs even when they are closed (ie. it is glass, not sheet metal).
