I'm still new and learning... will it void warranty if i change the oil myself? 2k ever since i first bought the p5 back in February. Which oil should i go with?

 

No it won't void your warranty. Just be sure to keep recepts, and make a logbook if you want.

Changing your oil every 2K is really unneccary. Even 3k is not really needed unless you live in extream climates.

As for oil, I use Valvoline syn-power, but any synthetic is good.

 

especially your first oil change you should wait more as the
scheduled maintenance schedules says 6,000miles is your
first oil change. the oil has breakin fluid so dont rush to get it
done.

 

I use Mobil1 synthetic. I changed my oil at the first 1k miles to Mobil1. Since then, its been every 5k miles. To be safe, keep a log of when you change your oil. Also keep the reciept of your oil purchase. Good luck.
