I am the proud owner of TWO new P-5. I had my salesperson searching for weeks before I even came in the dealership, I had talked to her on the phone.....I wanted two matching Vivid Yellow p-5. one for me and one for my wife. I KNEW the yellow was a hot seller, but didn't realize they would be that hard to find. After going in one day to make the deal final...and actually put my hands on the two cars I was informed that they couldn't locate two yellows.....in fact they didn't actually have ONE yet....they had located some but they were at dealers that didn't want to do a dealer trade.....or they were out of state and didn't think I would want to pay the cost of flying someone there and driving it back or even the freight to truck it here....they were right....but I held out and she and I continued to look that day....and low and behold, while I was there a delivery truck drove up and on it was a Vivid yellow, it had a few extras on it, but I took it anyway. My Wife didn't really care what color she got....so, there on their lot they had a Black Mica that was complete with the exact options she wanted so I took the Black one too. I never did get any story about the color being limited....nor did they try to stick it to me on the price because of the color...in fact....I only paid $150 over invoice for the two cars.....and we are VERY VERY happy with them. Ours are two of only 5 in our area. And.....IF I were you....and you paid extra for the Yellow because you were told it was an extra charge by your dealer? I would be in the OWNERS office with that letter from Mazda at my first opportunity...and ensure he KNEW you were going to do everything in your power to ensure that not ONE person you know...or anyone that they know ever set a foot near that dealership unless he made it right....and if he acts as thought he doesn't care? see if a local TV station has a consumer advocate.....and tell them your story. We have two stations here that do that sort of thing...and they get results...there is nothing more damageing to someone like that then the negitive publicity that is seen on the evening news.

Did you get the buy 1 get one 1/2 off deal? I think Mazda has this program going on until the end of the month.

I heard the same story with the Blue. High demand ,going to cost more. I said ok have a nice day. They said wait! They got me what I wanted at the price I wanted in 10 days.
