You might also want to consider H&R springs, about $200 shipped. It is a more subtle drop (1.3"). I have these springs paired with the blue Mazdaspeed struts from the dealer. Very nice ride and handling. I've also got the 21.5mm rear sway bar from AWR. It is a very stiff bar. To shift from an oversteer-happy car to a much more neutral car I had to install front strut tower bar, GTspec front lower tie bar and GTspec 4 point ladder bar. I have not taken the car to the limits, but as far as I can tell it does not have an understeer or oversteer tendency.
