Thanks for the insights. This was all something to be done in theory, and it looks like it's going to stay that way. Even if I do go turbo before my warranty expires looks as though I'll just replace the tranny with another sport auto.

Oh well live and learn. With how many miles I drive I'll be out of warranty in no time. I already have 8,200 on it in 4 months.

Aww, that nothing. My bro Akavali got about 10,000 miles in three months on his pro.

Those people who are interested in going turbo with their automatic transmission what kind of modifications will you be doing to protect your transmission?

From what I know so far (haven't researched it too in depth, just trying to learn what I can) the only thing you really need is a new heavy duty torque convertor that runs $400. I can't tell you off the top of my head the make or where to get it. Just that I remember reading/being told that I would need one of those if I don't want my tranny to go south on me.

If there is anything else I can do to protect the car/beef it up I would love to know. As each day passes I get more and more tempted to void the warranty and put in the turbo.

interesting....

I really don't think a upgraded torque convertor would actually make your tranny stronger. Its a wonderful performance mod to raise the stall speed but besides that I dont see how it would actually make the transmission last longer.

Hey great i am happy to see that there are people that starts understanding that automatic just simply suck. Automatic roughly takes about 10 hp at wheels but for that situation just exchange your car there is to much involve in doing this and by the way i jsut dust a tiburon fx badly today i think he was crying for his mother when he realize that he had no chance

so puting a exhaust and intake = a manual hehe
