Question Temperature Question

I just got my 2002 DX model today and loving it. I do have a question concerning the temperature gauge. It always seems to be just a tad below halfway between cold to hot (about 45% of the gauge range). For a 20°F day, that seems a little on the warm side....I doesn't seem to waver too much from that position either, even when the outseide temp is up in the 40s...

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Michael

The temperature gauge reflects engine temperature, not ambient (outdoor) temperature. Therefore, it should stay constant while the car is running. If you see the gauge going up, it means that your engine is overheating. Sounds like your gauge is working properly.
