Thats what alot of people have told me, but it floods real bad where I live. I'm thinking of taking it off for awhile to see if I feel any gains. I can take it off real quick. I actually cleaned my piping and my filter earlier today, it was dirty. Like i said, I cut away the plastic fender part, right below the filter, and added a custom scoop, to get more air flow. You can reach your hand under the car and feal the filter.

That was another reason water got in so quick, but i'm sure the Bypass valve let out alot of water. It could have been worse! I'm going to have to buy a splash guard, cause the filter gets dirty quick, since theres a large opening at the bottom.

i would just go to Lowe's or even just go to a junkyard and pull off a 2 square foot area of plastic (either from the interior of the same used as a rock guard just behind the front bumper) and cut it to size directly under the CAI. Just don't barracede the CAI in there or it will slightly impede the air flow.

Here's a pic of the Injen splash guard taken off my filter after ~1000 miles. The filter gets REAL dirty without it. Left side is where the opening was, right side is where the splash guard covered the filter.
