Thumbs up Water through CAI :D

Guess what everyone ...
HEAVY rain came out of nowhere and f*** me in the *** ...

We just aspirated the water from the intake manifold with a vacuum cleaner and a hose. its dry, removed the spark plugs... only 2 and 3 were wet, and those cams were flooded, the other 2 were dry, every thing seems dry now... when "submerged" the engine started to vibrate, but didn't came to a full stop, I killed the switch so we are hoping for no bent or broken internals...

When i turn the start switch w/o the spark plugs the engine rotates , so no hydro lock... yet

I'm thinking on removing the carter to see if something is broken... I'm guessing one or two connecting rods are cheaper than an engine block...

any pointers suggestions cheers, before i install the sparkplugs and turn the switch?

Wow that's shitty. That's the first time I actually heard someone report a case of possible hydrolock due to a CAI. Must've been a LOT of rain!!

we had a hurricane passing by... and the plan was... if it start raining, ill stop and park over the side walk... then hell broke loose and thanks to the beautiful sewage system of my city... (NONE) by the time i realize it was time to park the water was already covering half a wheel, fortunately the car is ok, but im thinking on replacing the internals... with forged ones just in case it'll be a set back for mi "turbo money" but i think ill do it anyway so why not now that the engine block has no holes in it...

just look @ it as "preparing" for the turbo.
